Support tennis for everyone
Since 2019, the Alan G. Schwartz Community Tennis Program has been delivering free tennis instruction in Chicago parks to those who might not otherwise experience the sport.Your contribution can help us continue expanding access to tennis in Chicago so more people can grow and connect through the game.
Free and affordable access to tennis changes lives. It builds confidence, creates independence and opens up a new perspective on life. The Alan G. Schwartz Community Tennis Program is proof of what’s possible when a community with passionate members like you comes together to make change happen. We are hoping you will be part of closing the gap on our $2 million dollar campaign to solidify this opportunity for Chicago’s future and the future of tennis!
What started in a handful of park courts has grown into one of the largest no- and low-cost tennis access programs in the country. Here’s how we got here:
- Real growth, real demand. The Alan G. Schwartz Tennis Program program has expanded from 6 to 43 park locations, now serving more than 4,000 players a year. And the demand keeps growing!
- Creating something that lasts. As the program grew, it became clear a long term investment was needed; so, we built a financial model designed to fund operations for generations, not just for a season.
- Filling a need. For many Chicago families, this program may be the only path to a racquet, a court, and a coach. That’s the gap we’re working tirelessly to close.
We’re now within reach of our $2 million dollar goal — and creation of the fund that will keep this program running for years to come. We’re close, but we need your help to close out the set.
Your contribution will also enter you into a contest to win 2 to the 2027 US Open! For every $200 contributed, donors will receive one entry into the drawing for this prize to include tickets, tour of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center grounds, 2 night hotel stay, and airfare.
